The valley is dominated by Langtang Lirung (7246m), the highest mountain in this area. Langtang Trek– 11 Days takes brings you crossing through the forest of the Langtang valley to the alpine fields and yak territories around Kyangjin Gompa. After the ascent of Kyangjin Ri, from where you can see the mountain views at 360 degrees which are stunning, we repeat our trail back down the valley to Syabru Besi and trek a picturesque drive to Kathmandu.

Langtang Trek – 11 Days goes towards the base of Langtang mountain, north of Kathmandu valley, presents the shortest destination to snowy peaks from Kathmandu. The Langtang trek begins from Sybru Besi after a 7-8 hours drive from Kathmandu. Passing a route upstream Bhote Koshi river through ethnic Tamang communities, lush green forests and the widespread Kyangin Valley bounded by snowy mountains from all fours sides brings you up to Kyangjin at 3800m where you get an opportunity to hike Kyangjin Ri (4350m), from where the 360-degree scenic mountain views are really panoramic. After an ascent of Kyangjin Ri, we return over our trail down the valley to Syabru Besi and drive back to Kathmandu. Due to carrying on ascend along the river valley, this Langtang trek – 11 days is not considered strenuous, but yet, it remains complex as it approaches an elevation of 3800m at Kyangjin and Kyangjin Ri (4350m). This Langtang Trek is completed at any time of the year during the monsoon season (June-Aug). The average walk for the trek is 5-6 hours a day.

This region was severely impacted by the devastating earthquake in April 2015; some of the trails are damaged and need to find alternative ways as well. However, most of the trails have been recovered already.

Once I arrived in Kathmandu, Anup picked us up and took good care of me and my friends. He also appointed a trusted guide and 2 great porters to accompany us on our Langtang trekking journey.

Basically, once you are signed up with HimalayanWindows tours, you need not worry. Anup can accommodate most of our requests and spontaneous additional plans or tours.

Thank you HimalayanWindows tours for all your help and hospitality! Most of all, thank you for your warm greetings in a country once unfamiliar to me. You made it feel like coming home.
I will definitely contact Anup again for my future Nepal travel plans.
