Kathmandu Lumbini Pokhara Chitwan Tour (10 Days) allows us to explore the cultural and historical aspects of Kathmandu Valley along with the picturesque excursion of Nepal. The Kathmandu Lumbini Pokhara Chitwan Tour also presents cultural and religious drive to the most impressive landmarks of Nepal including the places in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. The Nepal tour itinerary for 10 days begins with guided tours and sightseeing in Kathmandu. After the sightseeing in Kathmandu, we will drive to Chitwan National Park (CNP) to experience the most popular wildlife safari and jungle activities. Chitwan National Park is situated in the tropical Terai region which is close to the borders with India. CNP is also the house of exotic Flora and Fauna, rich bird species, and rare wild animals including one-horned Rhino and Royal Bengal Tiger. During our stay at the national park, we will take an Elephant Safari/Jeep Safari, Sightseeing to the most exotic wildlife and diverse ecosystem, canoeing, bird watching, and walk into the jungle accompanied by a local trained guide. After exploring Chitwan NP, our Nepal Tour Itinerary 10 Days proceeds to Lumbini – the place where Lord Gautam Buddha was born – situated on the terrain plains of southern Nepal. After visiting Lumbini, we will drive to Pokhara via Tansen. Pokhara is overlooked by the magnificent Annapurna Massif and stunning snow-capped peaks. In Pokhara, we take you to the most famous places including Phewa Lake, World Peace Stupa,  Davis Fall, and the gorge of Seti River. The Spectacular view of Mt. Machhapuchchhre (Fishtail) in Pokhara is a backdrop amidst the charming ambiance of nature and makes your trip an experience of a lifetime. We conclude our Kathmandu Lumbini Pokhara Chitwan Tour after taking a 6-7 hours drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)

You will be thrilled watching panoramic flying into Kathmandu with the views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks sprawling down; you will already get excited to explore the country. Our representative from HimalayanWindows will meet you at the airport terminal and transfer you to your reserved hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu | Breakfast

Our guide comes to your hotel to pick you up with transportation. As soon as you take your breakfast, your Day Sightseeing begins, you will be visiting four major landmarks in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Our Guide will give you a perfect idea of which place would be the best to initiate. Basically, the trip begins with a tour to Swoyambhunath also known as the Monkey Temple – a 2500 years old landmark; it is said to be, the Radiant Lotus of the Valley-Mythology, established when the water was drained by Manjushree, the God of the Wisdom. This Temple is a famous pilgrimage site for Buddhists, is located on a beautiful hill inside Kathmandu valley. It is situated on top of the hill that could be observed from almost every part of the Kathmandu Valley. The tourists call this Stupa ‘Monkey Temple’ as there are many monkey monkeys living around the Places.

After the Sightseeing around Monkey Temple, we drive to another landmark, Boudhanath Stupa. Boudhanath Stupa has been renovated after the Earthquake 2015 as this was also impacted. The Boudhanath Stupa is the world’s biggest Stupa and represents Tibetan Buddhists Culture in Nepal. Antique shops around these stupas where you can buy things of your preferences concerning Tibetan Culture and Lifestyles.

After a visit to Boudhanath, you will be transferred to the Pashupatinath Temple, which is located at the bank of the Bagmati River. It is a sacred Temple for Hindus as many people from different parts of the world visit this temple every year and during the Shiva Ratri, hundreds of thousands of devotees and Sadhus come to attend.

The last site of this day is Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient Royal residential quarter, Mahadev Parvati Temple, Temple house of Kumari (Living Goddess) around this Durbar Square. Walk around the local bazaar and back to the hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park | Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

It is about 160 Km from Kathmandu, which takes about 4-5 hours. You will have a scenic drive following the corridor of the Trishuli River. If you wish to attend rafting while the drive to Chitwan, you can add to this itinerary.

Day 4: Full day Excursion at Chitwan National Park | Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

After the morning breakfast, Canoe Ride in the Rapti River (a good opportunity to see birds and Two rare species of Crocodiles like Marsh Mugger and Fish-eating Gharial), jungle walk and visit Elephant Bathing Center. In the Afternoon after Lunch, Elephant Safari (A Good opportunity to see 4 different types of deer, Rhinos, Wild Boar, Monkey, Leopard, Sloth Bear and also encounter with many other mammals that have made Chitwan their home). In the Evening, Enjoy Sun Set view from the bank of Rapti River and the Show or Cultural program. Take Dinner and Go to Sleep.

Day 5: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini | Breakfast & Dinner

It is about 192 Kilometers drive from Chitwan to Lumbini, it is a scenic drive to Lumbini, when you reach Lumbini, you will be taken to Maya Devi Temple and stay overnight at your reserved hotel. Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha located at the terrain plains of southern Nepal. The Siddhartha Gautam was born at this place in 623 BC as the Shakya Prince and ultimate Buddha enlighten. Since then, this site is being developed as the supreme Buddhist pilgrimage and symbol of world peace.

Day 6: Drive from Lumbini to Pokhara via Tansen | Breakfast

After breakfast early in the morning, drive to Tansen which is about 120Km from Lumbini; spend some time and have lunch in Tansen. Tansen is itself is very colorful with its old houses and slopes of landscapes. There are various types of People such as Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, Newar, Limbu and etc. This place is popular for metal crafts, Dhaka clothes, shawls, and caps. Again start driving further to Pokhara, the distance is about 75 Km.

Day 7: Full Day Sightseeing in Pokhara Valley | Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, your sightseeing begins inside the valley of Pokhara. You will be visiting major attractions of Pokhara valley such as the Old Bazaar of Pokhara City, Seti Gorge, Bindhyabasini Temple, Buddhist Monastery, Pokhara Regional Museum which shows the traditional and cultural aspects of Western Nepal. Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Tibetan Refugee Camp, Bahari Temple located in the central part of Phewa Lake are other attractions in Pokhara.

Day 8: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu | Breakfast

After breakfast, you start driving back to Kathmandu with a scenic view of green hills and rivers.

Day 9: Sightseeing of Bhaktapur & Patan Durbar Squares | Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide comes to the hotel, begins your day tour.

AM: Patan Durbar Square 

After breakfast at the hotel, we take you to Patan Durbar Square to explore Patan Durbars, Mahaboudha, Krishna Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Golden Temple and etc. You feel like Patan has been exposed before you as an open museum presenting stunning carved windows, intrinsic roof struts, statues of gods and goddesses, temples designed in Pagoda Style with erotic carvings and metalwork faces, and many other beautiful facets. Additionally, you will also get to see the handicraft center in Patan.

PM: Bhaktapur Durbar Square 

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a home of unique culture and the finest display of craftsmanship. It is said that Bhaktapur only places in Nepal which is remained untouched by Western Culture. Golden Gate, Lion Gate, Art Gallery, Nyatapola Temple, Statue of King Bhupindra, and fifty-five windowed Malla Palace are the pride of Bhaktapur. And drive back to Kathmandu.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION 

Payment: 30% of the total tour cost is required as an advance deposit to confirm the tour with HimalayanWindows (HW). The remaining balance can be paid 3 days before the departure date. Payment can be made through Wire Transfer or Credit Card. We process your credit card payment securely and no extra fee is charged.

Cancellation: For cancellation more than 30 days before the Tour Start Date, No Cancellation fee is charged. For cancellation from 29 calendar days up to and including 4 calendar days before the Tour Start Date, a charge of 30% of the total invoice amount is charged. ACCOMMODATION & MEALS 

Accommodation: Accommodation is in twin rooms in cities unless a special request is made for a single supplement with an additional fee. Accommodation is in twin or dormitory at lodges on the trek especially in a peak season, it is difficult to find single/twin rooms in the mountains. Our main focus is to provide clean and safe rooms to our valued guests.

Meals: Basically, every package we offer includes breakfast; lunch and dinner are provided based on the cost we offer on the tour. In Bhutan, every package is on a full board plan that includes Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. During the trek, we provide all meals where you will need to pay extra for drinking water and snacks.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Nepal Visa: Every traveler from any country who wanted to visit Nepal needs to obtain a Nepal Visa. Nepal visa can be obtained on arrival and some countries need a visa before traveling to Nepal. Make sure your passport is valid at least 6 months from the Tour Start Date. Make sure to obtain a multi-entries Nepal Visa if you are planning cross country tours.

Bhutan Visa Clearance: Every traveler from any country who wanted to visit Bhutan needs to obtain a Bhutan Visa Clearance before the travel to Bhutan. We obtain your Bhutan visa; you need to send your color scanned clear passport copy. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the Tour Start Date. Before flying to Bhutan, a Visa Clearance will be sent to you from your tour operator, you have to print the clearance paper and show it at the Druk Air/Bhutan Airlines counter during the Check-in. Tibet Group Visa (TGV): Every traveler from any country who wanted to visit Tibet from Nepal needs to obtain a Tibet Group Visa (TGV) in Kathmandu through the help of a tour operator. Make sure to land in Kathmandu 3-4 working days before the travel date t process for TGV. If you are traveling from China, no TGV is required, a Chinese Visa & Permit are needed, though. BEST TIME TO VISIT 

Nepal & Bhutan: Nepal and Bhutan share the climate from high mountains to the low land sub-tropical plains and jungles. Both countries have similar weather and ideal to visit at the same time of the year. March to April (spring) & October to December (autumn and early winter) are the best time to visit as the air is clean and fresh with sunny skies. January and February are colder and June, July, and August (summer) are monsoon season.

Tibet: The best time to visit Tibet is from April to October as the weather is warmer, fresh, and sunny skies. November to March are usually very cold, but still possible to visit if the route is not blocked by the snow, especially in the regions like Namtso, Everest Base Camp, Mount Kailash, etc.
